I am Thunder Bird Woman, my name was given to me in a sweat lodge ceremony, culture is very important to me and drives my desire to help others.

I have been a visitor here in Treaty 7 territory for over 20 years, I am Woodland Cree from Driftpile First Nations in Treaty 8 territory. I was born and raised in Grande Prairie, AB, I did not live on the reserve until I was 15 years old. Having lived in both worlds growing up showed me the beauty of the land but the hardships of racism.
